Kate Corder is an artist currently studying for a Practice Based PhD in Art at University of Reading; estimated completion time is 2012-3. Kate’s research practice investigates allotments, plant and land cultivation in art. The Allotment Plot focuses on the central narrative of a three year study of an allotment plot in the garden at the Museum of English Rural Life in Reading. The narrative is recorded on the Allotment Plot Blog. Time lapse films document the research process and the performative nature of the allotment garden. Kate Corder is working on a long-term curatorial project titled Cultivation Field.
